Greg D is a true purveyor of the “anything goes” ethos, and has proven so with his far out DJ sets and eclectic record collection. Over the last 9 years, the Risky Disko co-founder and Making Time resident has been tirelessly pursuing the dream, and has matured from a novice record digger into a household name at some of New York and Philadelphia’s leading underground clubs.
Pulling from dub, new beat, oddball disco, leftfield house, and anything in between, Greg D’s versatility behind the decks has captured crowds throughout the US, Mexico, Asia, and Europe. His own party, Try It Out, has delivered a handful of favorite selectors to Philly’s Dolphin Tavern including Rory Phillips, Juan MacLean, Lovefingers, and Joakim.
As a producer, Greg D has landed edits on the Brazilian imprint, About Disco Records, and released “Cosmic Sands”, a full-length LP on Zürich’s Light Of Other Days. Much the same as his DJ sets, Greg D’s original productions are rooted in dance music but offer something much deeper, incorporating various musical styles such as ambient, psych-rock, and disco.
