Greg D is a true purveyor of the “anything goes” ethos, and has proven so with his freewheeling DJ sets and far out record collection. Over the last 10 years, the Risky Disko co-founder and Making Time resident has been pushing the envelope as a selector, and has matured from a novice record digger into a household name at some of New York and Philadelphia’s leading underground clubs.
Mixing various tempos, styles, and countries of origin, Greg D’s wide-ranging musical taste and versatility as a DJ has ignited clubs and festivals throughout the US, Mexico, Asia, and Europe. His own parties have welcomed talent from around the globe including Ylia, Joakim, Cole Medina, Eddie C, Rafael Cancian, Lovefingers, and more.
In 2019 Greg D started Earth Beat, a bi-weekly program airing on Newtown Radio. Quickly after Episode 001, he teamed up with friends and fellow DJ's Fundido and Extra Water Andrew. Together, they expanded the radio show into a party series and charitable effort, raising awareness and funds for environmentally conscious entities around the globe. Earth Beat has hosted several guests including Jex Opolis, Masha, and Heat-Wave, and has partnered with World Wildlife Fund and New Yorkers For Parks.
As a producer, Greg D has landed edits on the Brazilian label About Disco Records, and released “Cosmic Sands”, a cassette LP on Zürich’s Light Of Other Days. His forthcoming EP under the new alias "Gee Dee" will be releasing on Brooklyn's Superior Elevation. Much the same as his DJ sets, Greg D’s original productions are rooted in dance music but push beyond the club sound, with influences spanning from ambient to punk rock.
